First I was trying to use port 25 and now This thread is locked. You can follow the question or vote as helpful, but you cannot reply to this thread. gextetner
Did this solve your problem? In reply to GordonB-P’s post on October 16, I called my ISP and they said that they do have both 25 and blocked. Otherwise I would just do that.

Basically when I select STMP settings on my printer and click test connection, with my current settings and port I am able to get it to say 161spd to PC successful” whereas before I was not.
Firstly, is this printer on the same network as your computer, and if so, may I ask why you are wanting to email the scan to yourself, rather than doing the scan from your computer? How satisfied are you with this reply?
Have you tried searching the Ricoh forums? In reply to JustinMee’s post on October 16, It was hard enough for me to get the darn thing to print because of postscript and stuff.

GordonB-P Replied on October 16, Sorry this didn’t help. How satisfied are you with this response? If you have, then a workaround might be to scan to a USB memory stick or an SDHC card and transfer it to your MacBook the old fashioned way if the printer has that capability?
